Bridgestone's tyre safety and eco station campaign returns to AbuDhabi for the second time Abu Dhabi, 21st November, 2013 - The second Bridgestone Tyre Safety and Eco Station (TSES) road show arrived to Abu Dhabi Al Wahda Mall and opened its multi-purpose station to the public . The TSES station set up on the Ground Floor of the Grand Atrium area of the Mall will run its education and awareness campaign on tyre safety from 21st November to November 23rd. The TSES campaign was developed by Bridgestone Middle East & Africa FZE in 2011 as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives and has been educating motorists across the GCC and North Africa for the last three years. The event is being hosted in partnership with Al Masaood, Bridgestone’s sole distributor in Abu Dhabi. Commenting on the campaign Shoichi Sakuma, President of Bridgestone Middle East & Africa, said “There is still a lot to do in terms of tyre safety awareness. Although Bridgestone develops tyres with the highest quality and always takes safety into consideration, educating people about tyre safety and helping them develop the habit of regularly checking their tyres will have a great impact on decreasing road accidents, and making roads a safer place”. The Bridgestone Tyre Safety and Eco Station (TSES) has a special demonstration corner where Bridgestone staff educate visitors on easy steps to enhance safety while driving on roads. Drivers are shown how to check the proper tyre air pressure and tread wear to avoid the dangers of driving with underinflated, overinflated, worn-out, or damaged tyres. The booth also hosts a section entirely for kids, where they can have fun with eco-themed drawing activities and face painting, while their parents learn about tyre safety. Bridgestone’s aim is to help lower the levels of road accidents in the region through education and awareness on proper tyre care and maintenance. In order to foster a safe and environment-friendly society, the 2013 Bridgestone Tyre Safety & Eco Station campaign is touring the GCC, helping families and drivers learn and practice tyre safety for the betterment and sustainability of future and current generations.
