Beirut - Lebanon, 28 October, 2015 – Bridgestone’s Tyre Safety and Eco Station (TSES) road show will make its debut at Le Mall, Dbayeh and will run its educational and awareness campaign on tyre safety from the 30th of October to the 1st of November 2015. The TSES which is open to the public from 2pm to 10pm will be set up on the first floor of Le Mall.

The campaign was developed by Bridgestone Middle East & Africa FZE in 2011 as part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives and has since been educating motorists across the GCC and Africa region. In Lebanon, it is being implemented in partnership with Ahmad El-Sawi Zantout Ests. Co., Bridgestone’s sole distributor in the country.

Ahmed Yehia, General Manager, Northern Africa & Arab branch, Bridgestone Middle East & Africa, said “We are delighted to launch our first TSES campaign in Lebanon. Through this campaign we believe the necessary awareness on tyre safety will encourage motorists to regularly check their tyres and thus minimize the risk of accidents to make the roads safer.”

The campaign will educate visitors with practical and effortless steps to enhance safety while driving. Motorists will be shown how to properly check the tyre air pressure and tread wear to avoid the dangers of driving with underinflated or overinflated and worn-out or damaged tyres.

The booth will also host a section dedicated to children, where they can have fun with eco-themed drawing activities and face painting, while their parents learn about tyre safety.

Mazen W. Zantout, Vice President/ Asst. General Manager, Ahmad El-Sawi Zantout Ests. Co. said: “This is a great initiative by Bridgestone to raise awareness and highlight the importance of tyres in road safety. Tyres play a critical role in ensuring a smooth drive and safety of the motorists and passengers. Simply taking a few minutes to check the vehicle’s tyres before driving can significantly reduce the risk of having an accident. We hope through this campaign many motorists become more cautious and follow the basic rules of tyre safety.”
