Casablanca - Morocco, 2 December, 2015 – Bridgestone’s Tyre Safety and Eco Station (TSES) road show is back in Morocco and will be running its educational and awareness campaign on tyre safety from the 4th to 6th December 2015. Visitors will have access to the TSES booth located near the Aquarium at Morocco Mall from 11am to 8pm.

The TSES campaign was developed by Bridgestone Middle East & Africa FZE in 2011 as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives and has since been educating motorists across the GCC and Africa region. In the Kingdom, it is being implemented in partnership with Centre Pneumatique Ibn Tachfine (CPIT), Bridgestone’s authorized distributor in the country.

“In an effort to reduce the number of road accidents in Morocco, this initiative aims to inform and educate motorists on tyre and road safety. We believe awareness is a must on this topic and we at Bridgestone want to ensure this message is spread across the Kingdom,” said Tomoya Sano, President of Bridgestone Tire Sales Morocco SARLAU.

The campaign will educate visitors with practical and effortless steps to enhance safety while driving. Motorists will be shown how to properly check tyre air pressure and tread wear to eliminate the dangers of driving with underinflated or overinflated and worn-out or damaged tyres.

The booth will also host a section dedicated to children where they can have fun with eco-themed drawing activities and face painting while their parents learn about tyre safety.

Abdellah Herdmane, President of Centre Pneumatique Ibn Tachfine (CPIT) said, “Passenger safety is paramount and so creating awareness around the most basic of safety steps like ensuring proper tyre care and usage will have a positive impact on the public and society as a whole. The safety tips we provide on tyres during this event will definitely play a huge role in curbing road accidents.”

The campaign aligns with Bridgestone’s global initiative - “One Team, One Planet”, which encompasses the company’s global environmental activities and aims to bring people and organizations together to identify ways to enhance safety and sustainability.
